MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control

Ensure every critical manufacturing state is confirmed before entering the next stage

Quality gates built around project requirements, manufacturing nodes, inspection criteria, record evidence and release status. Empty slogans do not substitute for inspection facts — unverified pass rates, tolerances or testing capability are not presented as quality commitments.

QUALITY LOGIC

Distinguish Manufacturing Nodes from Control Methods First

The original overview placed IQC, FAI, IPQC alongside dimensional, surface and finished goods checks on one axis — inconsistent concept hierarchy. This page separates them: manufacturing nodes determine where inspection occurs; control methods determine how to intervene and release.

01 REQUIREMENT Define Acceptance Criteria

Project conditions, drawings, BOM, technical specifications and inspection documents

INPUT LOCKED
02 QUALITY GATE Inspect State at Nodes

Object, method, frequency and acceptance limits per actual documents

CHECKED
03 EVIDENCE Build Linkable Records

Material, process, inspection, non-conformance and batch relationships

DECIDED
04 RELEASE Determine Next State

Pass, hold, review, rework or re-inspect

Page Structure Conclusion: Control methods may span multiple manufacturing nodes; a single node may include first article, in-process and final confirmation. Actual applicability should be confirmed per company quality documents and project requirements.

SEVEN QUALITY GATES

Seven Manufacturing Quality Gates

View each node's inputs, inspection objects, evidence outputs and next-state decisions along the manufacturing state axis. Specific projects follow applicable drawings, inspection specifications and mutually confirmed documents.

QUALITY GATE 01

Incoming Material & Original Batch Confirmation Before Manufacturing

Confirm spec, material identity, surface condition and batch ID against project material requirements — preventing materials of unclear identity or status from entering downstream manufacturing.

CONTROL OBJECT
Steel coil / profiles / plates / accessory parts
CHECK FOCUS
Material, thickness, spec, surface and batch status
EVIDENCE
Incoming information, inspection records and batch linkage
DECISION
Approved for manufacturing when actual acceptance requirements are met; otherwise quarantined or pending review

Data Boundary:Material grade, sampling ratio, measured values and supplier conclusions must be verified against actual records.

04 QUALITY CONTROL / EVIDENCE VIEW

Inspection results are meaningful only when “criteria—object—record—disposition” are complete

Any measured values, tolerances, coating thickness, sampling ratio, equipment accuracy and pass conclusions must come from verifiable inspection specifications, test records or project documents.

QUALITY EVIDENCE MATRIX

NON-CONFORMANCE LOGIC

Non-conformance is not “creating a record” — it blocks uncertain states from continuing to flow

Generic quality loop for non-conformance handling. Actual roles, approvals, timelines, forms and corrective/preventive requirements per company systems and project quality documents.

STEP 01 / ISSUE

Identify deviation and stop default flow

When object, dimensions, appearance, records or batch status do not match applicable requirements, first establish an identifiable problem state rather than carrying the issue into the next operation.

07 FINAL QUALITY RELEASE

Final release is not a “PASS” icon — it is a set of delivery basis with complete states

Final release requires verifying relationships among product, quality, packing, documentation and responsibility states. Specific fields are driven by quality records, project lists and actual delivery documentation.

EVIDENCE BOUNDARY

Tier Management of Process Overview, Project Evidence and Published Conclusions

Quality information does not equal publishing all internal records. Different documentation should be provided by applicability, confidentiality, verification status and purpose — avoiding visual completeness substituting for evidence completeness.

01
PUBLIC PROCESS OVERVIEW

Publishable Process and Control Overview

Explains relationships among incoming, first article, in-process, dimensional, surface, finished goods and outbound confirmation — and how quality states advance to the next stage.

  • Manufacturing node and quality gate relationships
  • Inspection objects, records and release states
  • Non-conformance quarantine, re-inspection and re-release logic
02
PROJECT-SPECIFIC EVIDENCE

Evidence Verified and Provided Per Project

The following documentation requires confirmation against product, project, applicable standards and confidentiality scope before release.

  • Applicable inspection specifications, project drawings and acceptance criteria
  • Material certificates, first article, in-process and final inspection records
  • Batch labels, non-conformance handling, re-inspection and release records
  • Test equipment, third-party reports and certification documentation (as applicable)

NO CLAIM WITHOUT VERIFICATION

No Quality Claims Without Verification

The following information requires applicable scope, records or reports as support — not unverified promotional conclusions.

  • Fabricated pass rates, first-pass yield or “zero defect” claims
  • Unconfirmed tolerances, coating thickness, sampling ratios and equipment accuracy
  • Non-existent MES / ERP / QMS screenshots or traceability capabilities
  • Unverified certifications, reports, customers, projects and quality conclusions
